# SolidCraft: a new open-source Fusion alternative, built largely by AI in a short time

a brand new CAD program that looks and feels exactly like Autodesk Fusion 360. What
is special is how it was made: largely written by AI in a short time.

SolidCraft is open source and free to download at [solidcraft.io](https://solidcraft.io/).
It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and in your browser as well. You import and export
your models as STEP, STL and 3MF, so exchanging with other programs stays possible.

**My verdict:** the basis is strong, much stronger than FreeCAD, and that without
a complicated interface. What still needs testing is stability: references, heavy
assemblies and fillets.
